Senior Structural Engineer

Willett Engineering (Atlanta, GA) seeks a licensed PE or SE to lead a variety of structural design projects. We are a diverse staff with over 150 years combined engineering experience and a commitment to bringing creative, cutting-edge design solutions to our clients. Our projects range from schools (K-12), office buildings and retail centers to industrial facilities and movie studios. We are looking for a proven professional who will bring his or her own unique skills to our award-winning team.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS, Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 5+ years experience with a structural engineering firm
  • PE or SE license
  • Leadership, self-direction, creativity and problem-solving skills
  • A sense of teamwork and professional camaraderie
  • Willingness to work on a wide variety of projects (timber, concrete, steel and masonry)
  • Experience with structural analytical software such as RISA
  • Experience in AutoCAD and REVIT

Responsibilities:

  • Design and analysis of timber, concrete, steel and masonry projects
  • Creating building plans, sections and details on AutoCAD/REVIT
  • Brainstorming with co-workers and clients on innovative design strategies
  • Managing multiple projects and collaborating with other engineers and EITs
  • Maintaining clear communication with clients

Structural E.I.T.

Willett Engineering (Atlanta, GA) seeks a full-time structural engineer-in-training to assist with a variety of projects under the lead of a licensed P.E. We are an award-winning team with over 150 years combined engineering experience, and our projects include the design of retail, institutional, industrial, residential, medical, recreational and educational facilities, as well as historical renovations. This position is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious E.I.T. on the path to becoming a licensed structural engineer.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS, Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 2+ years’ work experience with a structural engineering firm
  • EIT license
  • Experience with structural analytical software such as RISA
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Willingness to work on a wide variety of projects (timber, concrete, steel and masonry)
  • Confidence and enthusiasm to tackle design challenges
  • Eagerness to learn from senior engineers
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients, team members and contractors

Requirements:

  • Revit and AutoCAD experience
  • 2+ years’ work experience
  • Knowledge in all phases of design and construction
  • Excellent time management and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Creating construction document sets (elevations, building sections, floor plans, schedules)
  • Providing assistance with design development, consultant coordination and construction administration
  • Working under the direct supervision of a project engineer to help meet client expectations and deadlines
