J. Mac Willett, P.E. J. Mac Willett, P.E. 
President & Principal Engineer

As President & Principal Engineer, Mac's primary responsibility is the review and management of all structural consulting services offered to Willett Engineering Company clients. Mr. Willett's design profile includes the design of structures ranging from single level commercial complexes to multi-level office structures. In addition, his work encompasses consulting to the pre-cast and concrete industry, analysis of existing structures, plans review, design of concrete formwork, design of special structures, specification preparation and construction observation.

Mr. Willett has also been involved with many projects requiring the investigation of existing structures for modifications and/or repairs. He is familiar with an array of construction methods used in the past and has analyzed structures over 100 years old. Some of these projects have required the development of new methods of structural problem solution and retrofit techniques.

Mac is involved in his community and enjoys surfing, exercise, reading and Parkview High School Basketball.

Laura Leah Moore, P.E. LEED® AP Laura Leah Moore P.E. LEED® AP
Project Manager and Structural Engineer

As Project Manager and Structural Engineer, Ms. Moore's responsibility is to bring each project from the schematic phase to the production phase. Ms. Moore has served as Project Manager and Structural Engineer on projects ranging from historical courthouse renovations to the design of Presidential Libraries, schools, office buildings, recreational venues, park facilities, warehouses and resorts.

Ms. Moore has experience in designing steel, timber, masonry and concrete structures for a multitude of building sizes and complexities.  In addition, she has overseen numerous projects requiring the analysis of existing historic structures for renovations, additions and/or repairs.  Since 2009 she has also been lead engineer for the design and analysis of the prototype for Chick-fil-A stores.  And, she has led the Willett team in the site-adapt design of Chick-fil-A stores located in the southeast, southwest, central and northeast regions of the US, the most notable of these being a two-story, steel framed store located in historic Cameron Village in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Laura has been with WEC since September 1995.   She is training for half-marathons and enjoys Boot-Camp, Yoga, reading and sewing.

Lelia has been with Willett Engineering since March 2011.  She is responsible for the design, analysis, coordination and management of projects from start to finish and has successfully completed projects ranging from stadiums and arenas to schools and high-end homes.  

She has experience in steel, timber, masonry and concrete structure.  She is also on the team for the design of the Chick-fil-A prototype stores and site-adapt stores.   In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and swinging with her daughter.

Brandon Hoffman, P.E. Brandon Hoffman, P.E.
Structural Engineer

Mr. Hoffman joined Willett Engineering in May of 2009. He is responsible for the design and drafting of new construction as well as structural modifications, expansions, and renovations of existing buildings.

In addition to nationwide medical facilities he has served as structural designer on projects such as multi-story hotels, warehouses, education (K-12), commercial, industrial and historic restoration both internationally and across the US.

Moumita joined Willett Engineering in October 2013.

Moumita collaborates with architects and engineers to create construction documents.  She also performs structural analysis & designs of steel, masonry, concrete and timber buildings and foundations.  

In her free time, she makes jewelry, hikes, camps and likes to learn about & cook cuisine from around the world.

Justin joined Willett Engineering in March 2013.

Additionally, Justin serves as the CADD/BIM Coordinator.

His hobbies include basketball, running, woodworking, traveling, chess, drawing and painting.

Outside the office, Kathy enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons, as well as pursing her passions for photography and travel.

In his spare time, Carver is often hiking and camping with his wife, and he never turns down an opportunity to go deep-sea fishing.

Jennifer joined the Willett team in 2019, bringing valuable experience in engineering cold-formed metal framing in various structural applications, from small portions of buildings to the entire structure.

Her current responsibilities include the drafting and design of a wide variety of building types.

Outside the office she pursues a variety of athletic and cultural endeavors, from rock climbing and hiking to cooking and travel.

Henry joined Willett Engineering in spring of 2019 and hit the ground running with projects such as the Benefield Elementary and Oak Grove Elementary additions.

An E.I.T. since 2017, Henry’s current responsibilities include drafting plans, general design, and structural design of footings, baseplates, beams and columns.

After hours you’ll likely find Henry outdoors exercising, taking in the fresh air and supporting all the Atlanta home teams.

Communications Coordinator

Jillian joined Willett Engineering in January 2019. She brings five years of professional communications experience, including web management, corporate messaging, email marketing and social media.

Jillian’s responsibilities include preparing proposals and reports on behalf of Mac Willett, overseeing the WEC webpage and social media accounts, and creating bi-monthly email marketing campaigns to update our clients and friends on our latest goings-on.

As a part-time employee, Jillian spends the rest of her hours at home, teaming up with her husband to teach her two-year-old son how to talk, dress and generally avoid hurting himself.
